We have upgraded to online registration for our Childcare Programs. This will allow you to register for After School Program (ASP), School’s Out Fun Days (scheduled no school days), Holiday Break Camp and Spring Break Camp. You will choose which ASP Sessions and location you would like your children registered for. You will need to set up an account in order to make registration changes, update personal information and add a payment method on file. For ASP you will owe nothing up front besides the one-time registration fee of $25 per child.
The After School Program is a place where children can remain active and engaged during their time out of school – a critical time for all school-age children. The After School Program is open to kids enrolled in kindergarten through 6th grade.
Kids attending Jefferson Elementary & North Iowa Christian School will be transported to the YMCA in our vans. All other Mason City Public Schools will be bussed.
Clear Creek After School Program meets in the Little Lunchroom. Attendance is taken and kids will have the opportunity to play on the playground & use the gym when available.
Students at both locations will have daily opportunities for physical activity, to improve their study habits and reading skills; gain exposure to the arts; find a love for STEM activities and much more. Kids in our after school program at the YMCA demonstrate improvement in the values, skills, attitudes and behaviors needed for success in school and in life. Kids can achieve, feel a sense of belonging and explore new interests.
At the YMCA our number one priority is the safety of the children. When everybody is safe a lot of fun can be had. One of our favorite sayings for all our youth development programs is Be safe, be kind, have fun!
LOCATIONS
We have two locations for our After School Program. Mason City Schools meet at the YMCA. Clear Creek students meet at Clear Creek Elementary.
HOURS
Monday – Friday dismissal until 6:00 p.m.
No care is offered for any late starts.
PRICING
Members: Up to $190/month (per child)
Non-members: Up to $200/month (per child)
$10/day (per child)
$35 per session minimum (for sessions registered for w/ no attendance)
Fees are due the Wednesday after the session ends.

SCHOOL’S OUT FUN DAY
Day out of School Camp for scheduled no school days will be offered depending on staffing. All Day Out of School Camps are held at the YMCA and must have a minimum 10 children registered or the day will be cancelled.

WEATHER RELATED POLICIES
If school is let out early due to bad weather parents have 2 hours from dismissal to pick up their child(ren).
Snow Day Camp will be held on most snow days depending on staffing. Watch for an email from Jessica and the YMCA Facebook page for information on snow days. Information will be sent out shortly after school is cancelled.
