Custodian – Part Time
Overview
The custodian performs several specialized tasks in the cleaning and maintenance of the floors, carpet, walls, windows, sidewalks, lights and vents. The position is also responsible for moving furniture and equipment as requested. The custodian maintains the highest possible sanitary standards in the locker rooms and in other assigned areas. The custodian maintains safety conditions within the assigned shift. Maintain a positive working relationship with supervisor and co-workers.
Night and weekend availability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Dust mop, wet mop, and vacuum as necessary
2. Clean locker rooms, walk through periodically
3. Clean family changing rooms, walk through periodically, totally clean towards the end of shift
4. Clean front restrooms periodically, totally clean towards end of shift
5. Empty trash cans as needed
6. Walk through pool area empty trash, sweep floor, take battery out of chair lift
7. Shovel snow as needed
8. Pick-up trash in parking lot
When co-workers are absent duties will change. It is expected that the custodian staff be flexible.
